The women of Jasper House Haiti salvage horns trimmed from local cattle that are otherwise thrown away. The raw material is taken through a process that transforms it into stunning pieces of jewelry.
Jasper House Haiti is a women’s transitional home located in Jacmel, Haiti, which works to provide restoration, education and empowerment for women leaving lives of prostitution, exploitation and abuse.
Rise & Empower is their social enterprise, birthed out of the realization of the immense economic needs countless women in Haiti face. Most women who find themselves in the clutches of prostitution, abuse and exploitation are there as a result of the need for survival. Rise & Empower seeks to provide a solution to these problems by providing sustainable, job empowerment through ethical fashion and thoughtful design.
