A 1-Step Get Rich Quick Plan

Pearl of Wisdom:

“The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, without painful toil for it.”

Proverbs 10:22

WORK AND WEALTH do not have a one-to-one relationship in God’s economy. This is because there are some riches gained through no labor of our own, only God’s blessing. And it is also because God has imbued us with a heart after His own, which finds pleasure, not pain in the work of service and creation. Understanding these two concepts can unlock abundance in our lives.

Here is a 1-step Get-Rich-Quick plan inspired by God’s Word:
Open the eyes of your heart.

Click to share this insight on Twitter

When you open the eyes of your heart you will see, and be able to live within, the rich blessings that have already been bestowed upon those who put their faith in Christ.

Here let me share one of my favorite verses with you from The Book of Ephesians:

“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.”

(Ephesians 1:18-19)

To this you may respond: “But I want REAL riches and REAL power.” And to you I would reply: unless you understand your real spiritual riches, and your real power in the Kingdom of God which is wealth freely given to you, you will never be satisfied with any amount of material possessions. All your labor will feel like a struggle.

When you open the eyes of your heart you will see that God has given you special passions and gifts, which when pursued will multiply your every effort. Instead of painfully toiling your day away in pursuit of wealth, you can relax into God’s gifts and get in the flow of the work that you were designed to pursue. Wealth will naturally follow.

Insight to Action

Have you fully embraced the wealth that is unlocked through your faith in Christ? I encourage you not to gloss over this. These riches are real. And they are everlasting. And acknowledging them will change the way you walk through this world. What I like to do is just imagine God’s Kingdom – the Heavenly Realm. This is where the real action is. This is where my spirit lives. And this is the seat of my power. When I open the eyes of my heart, this is the place I see.

Next:

Have you taken the time to follow your heart? Or have you been so busy toiling away in search of material security that you have lost touch with your true passion? Take time right now to sense the leading of your heart. Follow it with your thoughts. Pray for God to shine a light onto the path He has intended for you. And in faith step towards the light if even just in your heart, and eventually you will arrive at a vision that will drive you excitedly into a pursuit that will feel less like toil and more like fun.

Now:

I’d love to hear from you. How does acknowledging and walking in your spiritual wealth change your expectations or experience of material wealth? Are you living according to your heart? Have you found the flow of God’s perfect plan for your life? Or are you waiting on God’s vision? Share your thoughts with a reply below.

    Rachel,

I so needed to read Her Worth this morning! I’ve been struggling with work load, not enough time, where to concentrate my efforts, taxes, website hacked and gone, bombarded with email (over 30,000 in my inbox and most of those not read), so many free offers – that in the end all want you to sign up and spend more money, trying to decide how to connect the dots to make my business successful, trying to sort out good from evil, praying for discernment and asking for His will in this confusion.

A couple of days ago, I asked you for your opinion on a free coaching offer. Your information was invaluable. I’ve researched and made an appropriate decision…basically nothing is free and there are consequences in life. That coaching is not for me!

After reading today’s Her Worth, I decided to relax and go back through my email and catch up on a couple of weeks worth of emails I haven’t read. (I only read yours…the others will just have to wait!) And there it was, sitting in my inbox…all of your wonderful insightful wisdom and God’s word. This was exactly what I’d been looking for in this sea of murky water. I’ve been so busy being busy, I’m on the computer most of the day, answering the phone, crunching numbers, fall into bed at night, say my prayers and then start all over again the next day. I’ve been leaving out the most important element…my quiet time with God! Be still and know that I am God! (Psalm 46:10)

I am praying today for God to shine a light onto the path He has intended for me. My first course of action was to thank God for you and your sweet spirit. I love it when He has the paths of christians to cross. You are such a blessing to me and I value your friendship.

    Have a blessed day.
    From the heart.
    ~Kathy

    Kathy,

Thank you so much for this wonderful reply! I’m so glad you have decided to rest just a bit and reflect. It is a lot of work to sort through so much information, especially if you are trying to discern whether it is aligned with The Lord’s wisdom.

It is also tempting to busily pave our own path through life. But being still allows God to gently reveal the way He has already made straight for us. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)

You will be in my prayers. Keep me posted on your journey!

Your blog today reminded me of one of my favorite verses on “wealth”.
Deuteronomy 8:17, 18 — You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.” But remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today.

I love that Pat! What a humbling, and comforting verse to remember.

  • When the stacks of bills pile up I am so often guilty of ignoring this truth: that I am already wealthy beyond measure in all the ways that truly matter. Thank you, Rachel, for being a spiritual optometrist, helping to “open the eyes of my heart”! (Now please tell me I don’t have to have those awful drops that sting like the dickens and that puff of air like someone turned a vacuum cleaner on reverse right in the eyeball!) :o)

Midori, This made me laugh out loud. Hilarious! You know – sometimes it takes a pinch to wake us up, even to spiritual truths!

Thank you Rachel for reminding us of God’s true spiritual riches! Our
precious inheritance as His children and His peace and Holy
    Spirit within.
When things and times get tough (er) we can be assured He promises
to meet our needs and we can find rest in Him. I can kick out the anxiety
    monster with His promises!
    Blessings
    🙂 Georgia

You are very welcome Georgia! Sometimes the “anxiety monster” actually does us a service when he pays a visit — there have been so many times my anxiety has drawn me closer to the Lord, prayerfully seeking answers, protection or provision — then God answers and I walk away with renewed faith. Take that Mr. Monster!
